Kids aren't daft, and there comes a time when they'll want a bike as good as mum and dad's. With the Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie SLX, now they can. What's more, little legs sometimes need a little extra help, especially up steep hills or on long family outings, and having one of Cube's renowned electric bikes built for their size means they can keep up with the rest of the family. Best of all, this model is a hardtail mountain bike, so your adventures are not confined to the road and you can take your children along for the ride anywhere that is safely accessible to bicycles.
It's fair to say that Bosch didn't have perfectly proportioned kids' bikes in mind when they designed their world-beating drive systems, but that hasn't prevented Cube from neatly integrating it into the Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie's frame. Cube used the same design and construction techniques as for their adult hybrid MTBs to create a junior hybrid that's both fun to ride and safe as well. Made with a high quality aluminium frame, the Agile Ride Geometry improves performance and comfort, while the internal cable routing significantly reduces maintenance, and Cube even included mounts for their kickstand if you wish to add one.
With controls carefully designed for younger riders, it uses the same Bosch Active drive system as our adult hybrid bikes and features the same 400Wh battery as some of Cube's adult bikes, so your young rider has the power boost they need to ride further, faster and longer. As well as the great frame geometry, comfort is further improved with a Suntour air suspension fork with 80mm of travel to help absorb the shocks and bumps along the way. Thanks to its easily adjustable design the front suspension can be optimised for children of varying body weights and you can set it up exactly how your young ripper prefers.
Cube even used a thinner handlebar and grips for better comfort and control with small hands. To top it all off and broaden the cycling conditions your child can cope with, this electric mountain bike includes Shimano's 10-speed gears which are super reliable and offer a great range, and Magura's powerful MT Thirty hydraulic disc brakes to safely rein in any excess enthusiasm.

This children's bike is a OneSize model suitable for kids up to the following maximum measurements: a height of 124 - 141cm, and an inseam measurement of 57 - 66cm.

UK regulations state that a rider must be at least 14 years of age to ride an e-bike on public pathways / roads. For younger riders there are no age restrictions when riding an e-bike off-road / on private land.

Place an order for £50 or more and delivery is free to mainland UK (including Highlands), for an order under £50 delivery is charged at £8.99.

Your new Cube electric bike also comes with a 24 month Bosch warranty on the motor and battery.

Electric Bikes are regulated in line with existing Electric Power Assisted Cycles regulations. Cube does not endorse any upgrades that are added to electronic e-bikes, as this will invalidate a customer’s warranty.

We offer 10 days free insurance with all new bikes purchased from The Electric Bike Shop, provided by our insurance partner VeloLife. You will be covered for the first 10 days of ownership against theft, accidental damage and malicious damage, so you can purchase with confidence.
If ordering online, you can select to include insurance during checkout will be given a link upon completing your order to activate your 10 days free insurance. If you are purchasing in-store or through our sales team then speak to them directly about activating your free insurance on your behalf.
