We can talk all day about the benefits of electric bikes. Sometimes we do! However, the quickest way to understand just how easy and fun it is to ride an electric bike is to jump on one and have a go.
There is no obligation if you take a test ride. Experience how you can keep up with friends and family, conquer hills with ease, go further and enjoy cycling again.
We are confident you will return with a big smile on your face! If you try one then usually you'll want one.
Not sure which bike is right for you? Our experienced team will help you choose and you're welcome to take a ride on as many bikes as you want.
Most customers we will try between one and three bikes before deciding on their favourite.
All of our stores have a fleet of demo bikes available to try. If you want to try a particular brand, size or motor, for example, it is a good idea to contact the store ahead of your visit or call our customer service team on 0117 452 6571.
If you've never ridden an electric bike before don't worry we will talk you through the simple operation and take you through the power modes and how to change gear efficiently. If you would like some company or support on your ride please just ask and one of our team can join you.
You don't need to book in advance but it would be great if we knew you are coming.
Please bring Photo ID with proof of address and a bank card we will also ask you to fill out and sign a test ride form too, for insurance purposes. Helmets are compulsory when taking a test ride and we can provide one if required

Test rides must adhere to The Electric Bike Shop test ride policy. Test rides require a photo ID, a bank card and the signing of a disclaimer for insurance purposes. Test rides do not need to be booked in advance. A helmet must be worn during a test ride, one can be provided if required.
By entering the competition you agree to sign up to The Electric Bike Shop newsletter database. Competition entrants must have taken a test ride and purchased a new bike from The Electric Bike Shop within the promotion dates. Entrants must supply a full name, email address, postcode, telephone number and date of birth. Winner will be drawn at random seven business days after close of promotion and contacted within three more business days to arrange cashback.
**£100 towards full priced accessories valid when bike purchased on same day as test ride and must be accessories available in the store at that time. Competition prize and accessories promotion are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
