As a Tele Sales Operative, you'll be an integral part of our sales team, connecting with customers over the phone to offer personalised solutions and drive sales.
As a Tele Sales Operative at The Electric Bike Shop, you will be responsible for engaging with potential and existing customers over the phone to promote our range of cycling products and services. You will play a crucial role in driving sales and revenue by effectively communicating the value of our offerings and assisting customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to promote cycling products, accessories, and services.
- Take inbound calls from prospective and existing customers to promote cycling products, accessories, and services.
- Build rapport with customers, understand their cycling needs, and provide personalised product recommendations.
- Effectively communicate product features, benefits, and specifications to customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with their purchases and address any post-sale inquiries or issues.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs, including call volume, conversion rates, and revenue goals.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our product catalogue, pricing, promotions, and sales policies.
- Collaborate with other team members, including sales representatives and customer service agents, to optimise the customer experience and drive sales growth.
- Utilise CRM software to maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-up tasks.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and improvement in sales techniques and product knowledge.
THE SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS THAT MAKE IT ALL HAPPEN.
- Proven experience in telesales, outbound calling, or customer service, preferably in a retail or cycling-related environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and engaging phone manner.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets.
- Passion for cycling and a solid understanding of cycling equipment, accessories, and industry trends.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage customer interactions and track sales activities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business.

Full-time hours: 37.5 hours per week across Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday.
Expected start date: ASAP.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent. Office-based in Westbury Park, Bristol.
Salary: £22,698 to £24,000 per year depending on experience.
